Poggio ai Pini is the perfect place for those who want to spend their holidays in the open air.
With spacious pitches for tents and camper vans, surrounded by greenery and sheltered by the shade of our pine forest, the campsite is located just inside the Falisca II estate, in the municipality of Certaldo, in the province of Florence.

Location and services
Poggio ai Pini is just 800 metres from the town of Certaldo. It has a beautiful medieval village in the upper part that dominates the centre below, more modern and with many amenities for those who choose to spend a holiday in a farmhouse in Tuscany. Two names have made Certaldo famous from a tourist point of view: Giovanni Boccaccio and Mercantia.
The first is the famous poet who wrote the Decameron, often remembered along with Dante and Boccaccio as one of the great precursors of humanism. In the lower town, a statue celebrates this great citizen who made the then small Tuscan village famous all over the world.
The second is the largest festival of street performers in Italy. For almost a week in summer, Mercantia brings a flow of shows, dances and theatre, as well as interesting stalls with local crafts and more. A great time for fans of the genre, but also for family holidays with children.
